After releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Pure 2015, codenamed Clark, Motorola has taken an unexpected decision. The company has released the phone’s kernel sources to the wild, and the developers will be able to experiment all kinds of things, from optimizing the OS, to completely overhauling the ROM. For the rest of the regular users, this release doesn’t have any impact, but those who like building ROMs, then this source code will help them create a more stable ROM for the Moto X, which doesn’t come with too much bloatware.
So, the source files, with file formats such as .tar,gz or .zip, have a size of approximately 150MB and can be downloaded from the github.com, where they’ve been uploaded almost a week ago.
