Moto E3 Specs And Press Images Revealed
Change of plans: the Moto E3 will be released next month, not in September, as originally stated, and new press renders have leaked on the internet, along with additional details on its specs. This will be the third generation low-end device of the “E” line and you should expect major changes.
While the previous E2 came with a 4.5-inch screen, which supported 540 x 960 pixels, the E3 has a significantly larger screen of 5-inch and its resolution was upgraded to 720 x 1280 pixels, resulting in a total pixel density of 294ppi. Its dimensions haven’t been specified, but according to the latest leaks, the device will have a thickness of 8.5mm and a weight that will vary between 135 and 140 grams. Previously, it was reported that the device will have its screen protected by a “built-in smudge-resistant screen protector,” but it seems that Motorola will opt for the usual Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The E3 will have a minimalist look, featuring the same curved matte plastic body, as the surrounding plastic band has been removed, but the rest of familiar visual elements are still in their places: the dimple with the Motorola logo sits below the rear camera and at the top is found the usual miniature hole. Also, new leaks suggest that the Splash Guard feature, which uses a nano-coating technology will be available for this device, and it will protect it against accidental spills.
The previous Moto E2 was available in two variants of Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, but this year, Motorola has decided to use a Mediatek SoC with a quad-core 1.0 GHz processor will be backed by backed by 1GB of RAM. The internal memory is expected to have a capacity of 8GB, but it will support expansion up to 32GB via a microSD card.
Both cameras have been upgraded. The main shooter will support 8MP and it will be partnered by an LED flash. The secondary camera will have a resolution of MP. As for the battery, it will have a capacity of 2800mAh, which will last a full day on a single charge.
Its price will be $130 and it will come pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
